Whatever Happened to ... ?

Only 3,030 Lanchester LD10's were produced in total, of which approximately 2,426 were fitted with the all steel 'Utility' body, manufactured by Briggs Motor Bodies of Dagenham. The 25 prototypes and the remaining 579 cars were fitted with the aluminium coachbuilt bodies, manufactured by Messrs Barker and Company.

See the estimated market value here.

We currently believe (2009) that approximately 50 Briggs-bodied cars and 50 Barker-bodied cars may remain. Of those known, 16 are Briggs 1st series, 17 are Briggs 2nd series, 13 are Briggs 3rd series, 51 are Barker.

The list below shows those cars for which we do have records - the lighter the text color, the less is known. The fate of so many of the cars is unknown - Please contact us if you know any information not presented here or to update this information.
